    James C. O’Rourke, P.Eng., OBC. graduated in 1964 with a B.A.Sc. degree in Mining Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Jim has more than 40 years of hands–on experience in mine evaluations, development, project financing, marketing and operations in Canada, the United States, South America and the Philippines. Jim was the 2005 recipient of the Edgar A. Scholz Medal for Excellence in Mine Development in British Columbia and the Yukon, and the recipient of the Mining Person of the Year award for British Columbia in 2010. He was a recipient of the Order of British Columbia in 2011. In 2013 Jim was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. Mr. O’Rourke retired as President and CEO of Copper Mountain on June 1, 2018, appointing Gil Clausen as new President, CEO and Director.

    Gilmour Clausen, P.Eng. is a mining executive with more than 30 years’ experience in the areas of management, finance, development and operations in the base metals and precious metals industry. Gil is President and Chief Executive Officer and director of Copper Mountain Mining as of June 1, 2018. Gil was the Chief Executive Officer of Brio Gold Inc. and held that position from 2015 until the acquisition of Brio Gold by Leagold Inc. in May, 2018. Gil was President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Augusta Resource Corporation from its inception in 2005 until Augusta was acquired by HudBay Minerals Inc. in July 2014.  He was Executive Vice President, Mining at Washington Group International, Inc. from 2001 to 2005 and served as the Vice President of Operations of Stillwater Mining Company from 1995 to 1999.  Prior to 1995, Gil was a mine general manager at several precious and base metals operations of Placer Dome Inc in British Columbia and Ontario. Gil is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University.  He is a graduate of Queen’s University’s executive business program and the Harvard University Business School’s program in corporate board governance.

    Bruce Aunger, CA is a senior executive and is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice–President of Madison Venture Corporation and has been since 1988. Mr. Aunger serves as Secretary of Glacier Media, Inc. and GVIC Communications Corp. He was employed by Arthur Andersen, Chartered Accountants, for 11 years and served as a partner for 7 years. He has many years of experience in the accounting, financial, taxation and financing fields. Mr. Aunger has been an Independent Director of Glacier Media, Inc. since April 28, 2000. Mr. Aunger obtained a BA degree in Commerce from Simon Fraser University

    Al Cloke is a senior executive with proven leadership, team building and market development skills with a track record of successfully managing the profitable growth of mining distribution businesses. Al has worked 40 years in and as a supplier to the mining industry. Al was involved in the growth of the oil sands in Fort McMurray, the coal business in the Elk Valley and Northeast coal. Past responsibilities and achievements are, President of Bucyrus Canada Limited and President CEO and partner of Transwest Dynequip Limited, sold to Sumitomo Corporation. He was chosen British Columbia Mining Industry “Person of the Year” in 1995 and General Chairman of the CIM convention in Vancouver in 1997. He served on the Board of the Coal Association of Canada and the Board of Hillsborough Resources. Al was Chairman of B.C. Children’s Hospital, Mining for Miracles campaign and co–founder of Fishing for Kids and Hooked on Miracles fundraising events for the mining industry and B.C. Children’s Hospital. He is currently President of Cloke Holdings Ltd, and on the Boards of Copper Mountain Mine and Copper Mountain Mining Corporation.

    Alistair Cowden has an honours degree in Geology from Edinburgh University and a PhD in Geology from the University of London. Alistair has spent more than 35 years as a mining executive, director and geologist in the mining industry in Australia, Africa, Asia and Europe. He has founded eight public companies including Altona Mining, of which Alistair was Managing Director, which owned the Eva Copper project prior to its acquisition by Copper Mountain. He has been part of the discovery, financing and development of many mines including the Kanowna Belle and Sunrise Dam gold mines in Western Australia, the Hartley Platinum mine in Zimbabwe, the Kylylahti copper-gold mine in Finland, the Nimbus silver mine in Western Australia and Eva Copper in Queensland. Alistair has extensive experience across all aspects of the mining industry including mergers and acquisitions and financing. He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, The Australian Institute of Geoscientists and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Alistair as Managing Director accepted the Diggers and Dealers Junior Explorer of the Year for Archaean Gold in 1995 and received the Queensland Explorer of the Year for Altona in 2012.

    Marin Katusa, Bsc., is a New York Times Best Selling author and a hedge fund manager focused on the natural resource sector. Mr. Katusa has been a director of Copper Mountain Mining Corp. since 2007. He is regularly interviewed on national television such as BNN, RT, Bloomberg and many other radio programs and newspapers for his opinions and insights regarding the resource sector. A regular part of his due diligence process for his funds includes property tours, which has resulted in him visiting hundreds of mining and energy producing and exploration projects all around the world.He graduated from the University of British Columbia.

    Carl Renzoni, Bsc. (Hons) is a retired investment banker who worked at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. from June 1969 and more recently as a Managing Director up until his retirement in November 2001. Mr. Renzoni brings over 30 years of experience in the securities business specializing in the mining industry and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of corporate finance including mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Renzoni was a director of: Meridian Gold Inc until its takeover by Yamana Gold Inc in October 2007 and was a Director of Peru Copper until its takeover by the Aluminum Corporation of China for $840 million in June 2007. Mr. Renzoni is a Director of Yamana Gold Inc since October 2007 and a Director of International Molybdenum since May 2005. Mr. Renzoni received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1963.

    Bill graduated from the University of British Columbia (Civil Engineering) in 1986 and obtained his MBA at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. He worked as a mining investment banker for over 20 years, most recently as a Managing Director and Head of Global Mining & Metals at National Bank Financial. He is a Director at Wesdome Gold Mines and a past Director of Brio Gold (acquired by Leagold).

    Roman Shlanka received his Doctorate in geology from Stanford University and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. He is an international mineral explorationist with more than 40 years experience in the mining industry. Roman has been successful in identifying and developing major deposits around the world and is the recipient of a number of achievement awards. In 2009, he was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.

    Bob Young graduated in 1962 with a B.A Sc. degree in geological engineering from the University of British Columbia. He joined Placer Development in 1960 and spent 32 years with that company. His first 17 years with Placer were spent doing mine geology, both underground and open pit, as well as gaining experience in mine operations and evaluation. He then left mine operations and went into exploration, working mostly on target evaluations and as a project manager in South America, Africa and Southeast Asia. Bob left Placer in 1992 to join Teck Corporation as manager of its South American office in Santiago, Chile. Four years later, he returned to Teck’s Vancouver office to work on international evaluations until his retirement in June 1999.
